Today seems to be a great day for us!
News from Penang, on Puppy, the little puppy who was down with tick fever a few days ago and could barely make it through the night.
From Janz:
Gd Morning Dr Chan / Huey,
Dr juz called and said Puppy can be take off the IV drips already. He’s more alert and also start asking for food already. He can also be discharged by this evening but i have a problem here. I already have 2 dogs at home and im staying at apartment. I need to find a temporary foster home for him. Dr said Puppy will need to take about 3 weeks to a month for full recovery and need to take medication daily.
The vet do not encourage me to board him at the clinic as there could be air borne viruses around as he’s treating parvo virus patient in-house too.
Puppy is still too weak for me put him back to street. 🙁
Please help me to spread again and see who’s willing to help foster him.
And from Huey:
Just came back from visiting Puppy. He is definitely doing WAY better compared to yesterday. He made those crying-puppy noise when he saw people around. The lady (gosh I don’t know why I keep forgetting to ask her name) told me he made lots of noises today, either because he was hungry or he saw people around and started to ‘manja’. She said he is considered ‘stable’ now. She still won’t let me take photo though.
Puppy has that cute-sad-puppy eyes and a brown nose (if I remember correctly, hehe). He could stand and scratch himself when i was there. Responded to my finger at the cage too, hehe. So cute I can pinch him all day!
I’ve posted fostering notice on PASS’s Facebook Page and have asked around. No taker so far. Like what Janice mentioned, the lady said Puppy will need to be on med for about a month.
We need a fosterer for Puppy (in Penang). Please help.
