The cat did not make it (Ah Fatt’s)

Ah Fatt sent one of his market cats to the vet’s recently as she was having fever. It has been two weeks now, and the vet informed me yesterday that the cat has passed away. The cat was not eating well, and had been on drips. Subsequently, she developed jaundice. 


The vet suspects the cat could have died of FIP.


FIP, or Feline Infectious Perionitis is known to be fatal and there is currently no cure in allopathic medicine. See this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feline_infectious_peritonitis


The prognosis is very poor and the “treatment” is symptomatic and palliative.


We hope the cat is in a better place now. 


As agreed, we have subsidised 50% of the cost of treatment, which amounted to RM198.
