Press conference by MDDB tomorrow

A message from MDDB:

Calling all those who had bought puppies from pet shops which died within the next two weeks due to parvo, distemper or other ailments. Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better has organised a press conference tomorrow in association with several animal welfare NGOs. Please come forward and tell the media your story.

CANINE welfare project Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better (MDDB) together with the SPCA and PAWS as well as several other animal welfare groups cordially invites you to a press conference tomorrow.

The press conference is to address the increasing number of illegal and backyard breeders who flood pet shops with puppies and kittens which are kept in pitiful conditions.

Backyard breeders are also known to breed in very cruel in debilitating conditions in shop houses and residential homes.

To make matters worse the pets, especially puppies, bought from these shops more often than not allegedly die within a few weeks after their purchase.

The NGO’s are seeking the government’s intervention to prohibit the sale of puppies and kittens in pet shops.

Venue: Summit Shopping Center, USJ Subang Jaya (main entrance)

Date: Sunday, Dec 11

Time: 2.00pm
