Ang Paws Furrez – another exciting project by Casa Doggie Store! (4th Feb 2012)

Chooi Chooi, the managing director of Casa Doggie Store, called me yesterday, to invite all of us for her next exciting project to raise funds for Meiji.

It’s going to be a day of fun and games held at the Kota Damansara Community Forest – take a look!

All for a great and worthy cause.

All for the doggies at Meiji’s sanctuary.

Please mark your calendar, folks.

It is on 4th February 2012.

Let’s give our full support to Chooi Chooi’s compassionate efforts and extend a helping hand to Meiji.

Meiji looks after 128 dogs single-handedly in her sanctuary and her only means of livelihood is through rubber-tapping. She is completely dedicated and devoted to her dogs as can be seen when she rushes every sick dog down to the Klang Valley for treatment in her rackety Suzuki jeep. Previously, Meiji only had a motorbike – she would carry 4 small-sized dogs on it, and travel all the way from Raub to the Klang Valley to bring the dogs for treatment or spay-neuter. All her dogs are 100% spayed-neutered.

There is also no electricity and water supply at her sanctuary. She uses small car-batteries and candlelight at night and her water comes from the mountain stream. Yet, with such bare minimum amenities, she has been managing the sanctuary for 15 years now.

One only has to see how happy and healthy her dogs are. They are indeed the happiest dogs I have ever seen in any sanctuary. That is the testimony on how well Meiji looks after them. Her dogs are all very people-friendly.

We have been helping Meiji for the last two-and-a-half years with food donations and the medical bills of her dogs (spay-neuter and medical treatment).

Chooi Chooi is now initiating exciting projects to help Meiji, so let’s give her our support!

See you there, on 4th February!!

Please send this link to your friends and family!

The happy dogs and their guardian angel.
