Brainy isn’t doing all that great this morning. He’s having difficulty in breathing. I am trying to make him as comfortable as possible. Every time he take a breath, he makes this gurgling noise when he breaths out and I think he has a congested chest, making it difficult for pull through another difficult day ahead. The photo that was taken yesterday wasn’t clear so I am sending you the one I took today morning. The puncture wound on right side of his head is really deep, and another puncture wound on his right shoulder/neck area. The wound seems better than before after warm compression but his lower abdomen is turning blue black. Perhaps lack of blood circulation? I am moving his tiny paws as much as I could. I’m leaving it up to the higher power if there’s any. I hope i have done the right thing by separating him from his mother.its really hard to watch.
We know my friend (the fosterer) is doing everything possible for Brainy. I do not know of any fosterer better than her (in terms of commitment, dedication, care and most importantly, time – most of us work and cannot be there 24/7 for the infant animals).
In such uncertain and difficult times, it helps to pray and ask for spiritual help. Yes, there is something somewhere greater than us. Some call it God, some call it the Laws of Nature, some call it the Universe, some believe in Guardian Angels (I believe in them, too).
May the guardian angels around us take good care of Brainy and give my friend all the strength and wisdom she needs to cope with this very challenging task.
May Brainy get well soon. Hang in there, little one. We’re all behind you all the way.
