Happy news from Amy this afternoon (in her email to Lydia):
I went home at 2pm to check on Ah Moon.Found that she had already pee & poo by herself which my auntie had called to inform at around 12pm.I am so joyful andhappiness and this feeling I never have it before. Is really from the bottom of the heart.Ah Moon start eating and drinking water now.Ha,she will be recovering soon and she talk a lot .Once again thanks for the help and the teaching and appreciated that Dr Chanintroduced you to me .
Ah Moon was injured by a falling flower pot on 26th March and was suspected to have spinal injury or even possible paralysis.
Ah Moon received treatment from the vet, which we subsidised and I also connected Amy with Lydia, who taught her how to express Ah Moon’s bladder because Ah Moon could not pee or poo on her own.
It’s only been 4 days, and today, we receive such good news!
Sometimes, “giving it time” to heal really helps.
A friend who manages a shelter in Penang told me that often they had paralysed dogs, which, when left alone, could walk again after 2 weeks.
So, sometimes, time heals.
As simple as that – time heals.
Never underestimate the body, it can sometimes be a remarkable healing machine by itself.
But it doesn’t hurt to give it some help, too!
