Ah Fatt’s real name is Then Lai Fatt, but he only wants to be known as “Ah Fatt”. He is a fishmonger at the SS14 market but spends his after-work time doing animal rescue. We have known Ah Fatt for three years now, and have been supporting his work.
Ah Fatt, together with a cat-loving friend who owns a small business nearby, takes care of the market cats. They even maintain a nice cat-space at the back of the market, complete with cages, litter-trays and feeding bowls. But many people dump cats at the marketplace, so the work is quite endless. Still, for every cat neutered, the breeding from that one cat is stopped, so the work has to go on. At other times, Ah Fatt does a lot of dog rescue as well.
Recently Ah Fatt brought another female cat to be spayed. We have subsidsed RM100 for it.
