Dear Animal Care,Today morning i rescued a stray from the highway who was probably an
accident victim, she was bleeding and could not walk. I brought her to
the vet in Nusa Bestari Johor Bahru. The vet
there examined her and told me her front leg is broken. This is before
the xray examination. They also suspect she might have internal
injuries as there was bleeding from anus. But, they said at that
moment life threatening issue was brain trauma. They are going to give
her 10 doses of medication for head trauma for 3 nights and 4 days.
The vet estimated the medical cost for x-ray, brain trauma and
hospitalization to be about RM1000. I have paid RM400 deposit. I would
really appreciate if you could help me with this. So far I have the
bill and the consent form for treatment with me. I could give you the
Vet’s number too for you to verify with them regarding this case.If you could help me, please let me what are the documents you need.
Do I have to send it via post (POS Express) or can I fax it to you
first?Thanks in advance.

We replied that we will subsidse as per our policy and since the bill is estimated to be above RM1000, we suggested that Praveena applies to one of our partners in our Multiple Fund Policy, ie. either Scratch or PetFinder.my so that we may jointly provide a slightly higher subsidy.
Praveena finally decided to only apply to us, hence we have now provided our maximum, which is RM500. The amount has already been banked in.

The dog, now named Lucky is out of clinic and my friend is currently fostering her.
After the x-ray examination and other evaluation, the vet told me she does not have internal injuries or pelvic bone fracture. She improved so much from her brain trauma after medication. When i went to check up on her, she looked depressed a bit, but at least she was more responsive to my presence than the last visit. Anyway, so for now she only has that one broken front leg, which the vet said can heal after 4 to 6 weeks. So, thats all the update i have you Dr.I initially thought of applying to Petfinder, then i received some help for the medical fund from friends. Therefore, currently i’m just applying to Animalcare only.
Another thing, in the itemized bill, there is a charge for transportation, from the vet to another. Please exclude it. That arrangement was made for ease of transportation for my friend.
