We have subsidised RM60 for Tigirl’s treatment. Tigirl is one of the many cats at Oei Phaik Imm’s shelter in Tambun, Ipoh.
From Judy Chua, on behalf of Oei Phaik Imm:
Tigirl was hiding in a corner of the cattery on 11 Aug. She didn’t
look well. I checked her out and she seemed very dehydrated. She was
taken to the vet same day and the vet confirmed that she’s
dehydrated. He also diagnosed her as having flatulence. She was also not eating. The vet initially suspected that she may have kidney problems but thankfully it was’t the case. Her stomach was very bloated due to flatulence. She was put on drip immediately ..and was on drips for two days. She was also diagnosed with flu. She was also given antibiotics, vitamins and flu jabs. She was discharged on 17 August. She’s as good as gold and is currently in my home for some
extra loving tender care and monitoring before she returns to the
shelter.Tigirl was a little kitten rescued by Imm from a drain in Bercham
market in 2007. She was mewing in the drain, very hungry and
frightened. Imm fed her and took her to her shelter. Tigirl’s
been living at the shelter since. Tigirl is a tiny cat. She
doesn’t like being touched or handled except when she’s not well.
