We have fully sponsored RM120 for the spaying of Girlie, one of the many dogs at Oei Phaik Imm’s animal shelter in Tambun, Ipoh.

Girlie was a stray pregnant dog who was taken by her ‘rescuer’ to
an orchard farm near Imm’s shelter to have her pups in 2009. Girlie
was put in a cage. She had her litter but all her pups eventually
died probably due to poor nutrition. As Girlie’s ‘rescuer’ was
no longer interested in her welfare, Imm decided to give Girlie a home
at her shelter where she would have a safe place to stay, have decent
meals, and feel loved and wanted.Girlie’s a sweet, gentle and lovable dog.
To save costs at Imm’s shelter, all the male dogs have been
neutered. Only a few of the female dogs have been spayed. We hope to
have all the female dogs spayed eventually.
