Medical subsidy for a jaw treatment and neutering sponsorship for rescued cat, Toothless (Ngan Tengyuen’s)

We have subsidised RM179.50 for the jaw treatment (the vet did not charge for the surgery, only for the anaesthesia, drip and medication) and fully sponsored RM80 for the neutering of Toothless the cat, rescued by Ngan Tengyuen.

Further correspondence:

Hi,

This is my first time applying for the medical subsidy. I have not emailed you about Toothless before this.
His Jaw was broken, missing a tooth, pus ozzing out from the lower jaw.
Upon discovering him in such a bad condition, I took him to a vet on the day itself – 28th Sept 2012, now he is on the road to recovery.
Before the surgery, a FIV test was performed to see his chances of survival and recovery. He is tested negative.
Here is my write up on toothless at PetFinder:

Found this white/creamy kitty in a nursery, he was badly injured with his jaw broken, missing a teeth and the upper teeth pierced into the upper lips., causing him not to be able to eat and puss forming in the mouth. Tested FIV negative before the surgery.

Now he is on the road to recover, as shown in the photo, a temporary metal piece is installed into the jaw. No more puss, and the missing teeth remains missing.

As for character, he is super friendly. Not afraid of people, refuses to eat wet food, only want dry food.

He may not appear to be beautiful because of his injury, but time will heal. In time, he will be a beautiful cat.

Attached here are the photos. The before and after photo for his surgery.

Cheers,
Ngan

In reply to our questions:

Hi Chan,

I found him in a plant nursery while hunting for plants.

1. I can’t adopt him coz I am taking care of 5 cats now, am putting him up for adoption.
2. If he doesn’t get adopted, I’ll return him back to the plant nursery where I found him.

The Indonesian workers took care of him for 4 years, that is what they told me. He is 4 years old, maybe 5. I believe they fed him coz he is into dry food, not interested in wet food, not even royale feast.

Cheers,
Ngan
