Subject: Fwd: Request for Medical Subsidy
To: Chan Kah Yein <chankahyein@gmail.com>Dear Dr Chan,“Kong Hei Fatt Choy” to you and family. This morning, we managed to capture and bring in “Sunshine” for vaccination and dewormed and “Buffy” for a check up as we noticed that she does not looked well for the past few days. Both are community cats.Sunshine will need to go for another jab on 17 March while Buffy is on medication & antibiotics for 2 weeks. The Vet also informed us that she found some traces of blood when she took her temperature and said that she could be on heat. We will keep her indoor to keep her from being courted during this duration and will send her for neutering once she is well enough for the procedure.Buffy’s medication is for flu/fever and has swollen lymph nodes at the groin area. This could be due to infection or virus (would not know unless a blood test is carried out) whereby Sunshine’s jab is for the usual feline vaccination for cats and he’s need to go for another jab (last one) next month.Due to the above and Happy’s case, the Vet did suggest to us to conduct blood test for both on FIV/FLV as Happy, also a community cat has FIV (subsidy was rejected due to below mentioned) and is older sibling of Buffy and was told FLV is spread thru licking / saliva as cats usually like to groom each other. Many thanksVeronica
