Subject: Vaccine Subsidy Request
To: chankahyein@gmail.comDear Dr Chan,
I’m writing to apply for a vaccine subsidy on a mom cat and her four kittens.
Mom cat, “Miao-Miao”, is a stray cat that gave birth in our tool shelves outside our house. They have all endeared themselves to us enough for us to feed them and try to foster them. It is our best hope that we find them all homes, as we can’t keep all of them; we have an indoor dog that Miao Miao does not like.
Our goal right now is to get them all healthy and spayed, so that they can have the best possible quality of life no matter what the outcome (whether we find them homes or release them back to the streets). We managed to get coupons from SPCA for free spaying for all of them, but the clinic told us we would have to get them all vaccinated first.
We took all five cats for their first vaccination this week (Tuesday), and in a month, the kittens will have to go for their second vaccination. They are all doing well — vet says the kittens look well fed! We will spay the mother cat soon as we’re afraid she might be in heat again (we’ve taken to keeping her in the bathroom/cage to prevent her from roaming) and the kittens after their second vaccination.
Even though we are very grateful for the spay coupons, the vaccinations for all five cats totaled to no small amount. We would be very appreciative for any financial help for the vaccinations.
Thank you!
Best regards,
Juliana Ng
