“Dying to be me” – an interview with the author

This is amazing and there is so much we can learn from it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=y1VG7895XnU#!

The author, Anita Moorjani, had a near-death experience where she was comatose for 30 hours, but she came back to life and her lymphoma miraculously shrank by 70% in the 4 days that followed. Her explicit description of the near-death experience gives us a glimpse into death.

She has been cancer-free for 6 years now.

She also talks about living life to the fullest and not living in fear or to please others.

In relation to caring for animals, what we glean from this is that once an animal dies, it is already in a peaceful and blissful state, or in a state of “unconditional love” as Ms Moorjani puts it. We can all draw some comfort from this when we nurse terminal or aging animals.

When death happens, there is peace.

That is comforting, isn’t it?
