Subject: Kitten up for adoption – Eponine
To: Chan Kah Yein <chankahyein@gmail.com>

Hi Dr Chan,
I would like your help to publish a post about this kitten, which is up for adoption.
Eponine is actually male but we thought he was female when he was much younger, so the name has stuck. He is part of the second batch of litter borne to my neighbourhood cat, Bow. She gave birth to four kittens, two males and two females. Eponine’s three siblings have been adopted. He’s actually the runt of the litter and was really small and fragile, which was why I did not put him up for adoption earlier. He has grown up into a healthy kitten (he is now 6-months old) and now weighs 3.2kg. His temperament is mild like his mother but he’s also really friendly and would purr very loudly when you stroke him. He also has a tendency to lick people’s faces if you allow him! I usually don’t because I find it too ticklish 😛

Anyways, I am currently caring for three cats plus Bow and her first batch of litter which also consist of four kittens, which means I’m caring for 8 cats. I have to put Eponine up for adoption because I have too many cats and the neighbours have started to complain. I believe Eponine would make a good house cat because he’s very sociable and loving. Just bear in mind that since he’s still a kitten, he’s energetic and would need someone to play with.

I recommend an experienced and committed cat owner who would allow him to stay indoors and has the time to play with him. He has been vaccinated and spayed, is litter trained and eats Blackwood kitten food.
