Looking for sponsors for the safe boarding of a pregnant mum-dog, a mother dog and her 3 puppies (Then Lai Fatt’s)

Our policy does not cover boarding so we cannot sponsor or subsidise it (We can only cover hospitalisation ie. boarding to receive specialised treatment which can only be done at the clinic). The Berjaya Cares funds were also given strictly only for our Medical Fund (as per policy) so we cannot use that for boarding either.

Ah Fatt (Then Lai Fatt) called today on a very urgent matter. Ah Fatt works as a fishmonger in the market but after work, he is a very active dog and cat rescuer. The market cats are all taken care of by Ah Fatt and he has rescued numerous street dogs, now placed at various boarding places which he pays for. We have been helping him in his claims but he hasn’t been claiming for many months now because he was able to fund his own rescue work. Sometimes I even see Ah Fatt buying food from the Food Court to deliver to his many dogs who are being boarded at various places. They get a treat once a week.

But Ah Fatt really needs help now and asked if we can fund his rescue work again. Of course we can as long as it is per our policy. For neutering and medical treatment – yes, of course.

However, Ah Fatt called today over a very urgent case. There is a mother-dog with 3 puppies and another very pregnant dog in a certain area and the local council has come TWICE to try to catch them. Luckily, they did not manage to catch any. Phew!

Ah Fatt is very worried that the council might come again, so he asked if we could sponsor the boarding of this whole family of two mother-dogs and 3 puppies at the vet’s, one mother-dog is about to give birth. I told him to please safeguard the family first and we will look for sponsors since we know what a dangerous situation the dog family is in.

So, Ah Fatt went back to get his cages and headed off to do the rescue.

Meanwhile, I called a friend, who agreed to start the ball rollling. “Caramel Puppy” will start off the boarding fund for this doggie family.

Ah Fatt called back saying all have been safely rescued and they are now at the vet’s.

A client at the vet helped take this photo and sent to me (thank you!).

If you would like to help Ah Fatt with the boarding fee for this dog, kindly write to me at chankahyein@gmail.com and of course, if you are ready to open the doors of your house to a dog then make sure to visit websites like https://www.americanlisted.com/all_states_0/pets_and_animals_47/pit+bull+mastiff+mix+puppies/.
