Spaying and vaccination subsidy for Lulu, a female dog (Lee Kim Hui’s)

We have subsidised RM150 for the spaying of Lulu and RM20 for the vaccination. This subsidy comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM60) and Berjaya Cares (RM110). Lulu is also for adoption, so if you would like to adopt her, please contact Ms Lee directly at her email below.

We have informed Ms Lee that we are not able to provide food subsidy for Lulu as our Food Fund is only for very needy individual caregivers who look after many animals. Ms Lee informed us that Lulu is currently being fostered by her friend.

Dear Dr Chan,
I wished to apply for the subsidy of dog food and spaying cost for a female dog that I have saved few years back.
The dog first came to my residence a few years ago. She has a habit of hiding in the drain, and this made her all muddy and dirty.
Worse still, when it rains, she still hides in drain despite rising water level. I have a female dog at home (taking annual vaccination).
Sometimes, she would come to my front gate and my dog does not like her around. I provided her a make-shift shelter outside my house and she would take shelter there. I was thinking hard on how to take care of her since I can’t afford to care for 2 dogs as I am the only one working.
A new neighbor moved in and I went over to talk to him. He agreed to take care of the dog and named her Lulu. I was so happy and grateful to him at that moment.
Until recently, he said his wife is pregnant and decided to leave lulu at some Malay kampung! I was furious and scolded him. I was clueless. After that, I met a dog groomer/independent rescuer and she helped to get a place for lulu at a pet store named at Setia Alam. The owner agreed to temporarily board lulu as long as I pay for her dog food and spaying. The owner said she would not charge Boarding fees but I would have to pay for the expensive dog food..Up until today, I have been asking around and pasting printed poster of lulu for adoption everywhere. But very difficult to find owner for adult female dog..
So far, I have made the first payment for dog food (1st packet worth RM188.60). The second payment for dog food (RM188.60) and spaying (RM280 on 8th July) are due this month.. Plus, the store owner have asked to take lulu away before Hari Raya…!
I can’t afford to continue paying for lulu and I am really clueless until I heard of your foundation. Thus, I would like to apply for subsidy for dog food (RM188.60*2=RM377.2) and upcoming spaying cost (RM280)..
Very sorry for the long email. I really appreciate any monetary help I can get. But the better solution would be finding a home for Lulu.. Would also like to ask for help finding Lulu a home. I will keep asking and pasting poster around.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Sincerely,
Lee Kim Hui
