Medical subsidy for Smokey the Cat (Marina Mustapha’s)

Smokey’s bill is RM60. We have subsidised RM30 for it. This subsidy comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM10) and Berjaya Cares (RM20).

Dear Dr Chan,

I took Smookey to the vet this morning. Attached receipt, itemized bill , pictures Smookey in the carrier @ the vet & the write up. It’s a male kitten.

13th Aug 2013 at 10.30pm, I found this kitten estimated 5-6 months old, running from underneath one car to another to seek protection.Intention was to feed him but looking at his skinny bone , the location that it was found & some injury at the tail, I do not have the heart to leave him there. Concern how is he going to find food & water at B3 basement parking.

His tail seems to have some injury (bitten or cut off?). I am not too sure.

I gave him liquid deworm (WORM BAN liquid deworm for kittens) as well as a flea medicated bath. His fur full of oils & fleas.

Attached 3 pictures of him on the rescue night ( sorry not able to take any pictures at the rescue locations-too many cars).I do not have carrier at the time so have to hold him at all times until we reached home.

This morning brought him to the vet. Vet discovered his tail is swollen affecting his bladder too. He is also having eye infection & diarrhea.Vet shaved his tail to examine & to check whether any pus. Luckily, no pus.

Vet prescribed 2 types of antibiotics, inflammation & eyes medication & another medication to clean his tail (incase feces stick to it, it will worsen the infection).Attached receipt,itemized bill & pictures Smookey in the carrier @ the vet.

Smookey has good appetite & like to sit on the lap. He is now being foster by a friend since 14th Aug 2013 since I have Polkadot with me still recovering.

I would like to apply for medical subsidy.

Will send the original receipt & itemized bill by mail this week.
