Petfood donation for Pak Din’s community animals

We have been helping Pak Din (Nordin Hashim) with our Medical Fund and Food Fund since August 2011: http://animalcare.my/2011/08/06/puppy-food-for-dins-puppies-sent-today/.

Pak Din is 67 years old but does not have a home; he lives in a shack in Gombak and our reader, Connie James, had graciously helped to repair and refurbish this shelter for him in March 2012: http://animalcare.my/2012/03/27/pak-dins-house-is-all-upgraded-now/.

Despite his lack of basic needs, Pak Din does his share for the community animals in his area by getting them neutered at Klinik Kembiri, taking them for medical treatment (with the kind assistance of Chew Teng Ngin, who approached us for help on behalf of Pak Din) and of course, by feeding them.

Over these two years, we have sourced for help for Pak Din, including looking for a job for him. Some of our readers have helped him by donating items and cash too.

We have now sponsored two bags of Caliber dogfood and 1 bag of the donated Royal Canin catfood for Pak Din’s animals. The dogfood comes from all donors through our Food Fund (RM170) and the balance is topped up by Andy Lew.

Mr Chew collected the dogfood and catfood from us yesterday. We thank Connie for helping us store the food.

He wasted no time in sending the food to Gombak for Pak Din.

Normally, cats run off whenever strangers appear (as in Merriam Samuel’s case when Joy visited – we were actually asked by a reader why there were no photos showing the cats – well, that’s why, and we have requested for the photos, but please give us some time as Merriam lives in Ipoh and we need to seek the help of friends).

Thanks Kah Yein for the support. Yes, he has lost 2 dogs in this year. The food should last awhile as he supplements with chicken heads and other leftovers from the wet markets. An unknown good samaritan has banked in Rm1500 to his personnel account(in 3 separate bank ins of Rm500 per time). There was a supporter of yours a couple of years ago who requested his direct bank account and not sure if he’s the donor. Do you remember him?

Would appreciate if you put a note on your website if anyone has an old TV for him if its ok with you??
