The bill is RM654 and we have subsidised RM327 for it. This subsidy comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM127) and Berjaya Cares (RM200).

hi Dr Chan

I would like to seek spaying and medical subsidy for Cleo. She and her puppy were found in early August. They were wandering in a residential area in Ara Damansara for a few days looking for food before my neighbor alerted me and asked for help. I believed they were both abandoned as they have severe mange. Cleo also have 8 lumps growing on her neck, body and legs. They are being treated for mange. The son has recovered beautifully and Cleo also has shown good improvement. However, her lumps are breaking possibly due to medical powder that were applied on the open areas. After consulting the vet, we have decided to send her in next Tuesday to remove five large lumps on her body and neck. She will be spayed at the same time. The lumps will be sent for biopsy to determine if they are cancerous. After that, we hope to remove the remaining 3 lumps on her legs. The skin there is very tight so vet can’t remove all 8 lumps at one go. For the first round of surgery including blood test, x-ray, spaying and biopsy,  the cost will come up to an estimated $750. I would like to seek subsidy for this. Just praying it’s not malignant and that she will recovery well.
thanks
Eileen

hi Dr Chan

Cleo has been renamed Sammy. She refused to respond to Cleo but came to us immediately when we called her Sammy! Anyhow she underwent surgery on Thursday and removed five major lumps on her neck and body. Spaying has been delayed to a later stage. The lumps have been sent for biopsy to determine if they are cancerous. IF all goes well, the stitches will be removed in two weeks and once she recovers, then will be sent for surgery to remove the last two big lumps on her leg and for spaying. Here are some pictures post ops.
I have submitted the claim and receipt to you.
Thanks
