  • Home-sewn canvas shopping bag – for auction!

Christmas is approaching, folks, and it’s time for giving and…shopping! My mum bought canvas material (and this is the really thick one, the type used to make canvas beds from the olden days) and sewed this bag (pictured below). As with the blankets, she is donating all the material and workmanship and whatever we get…

  • Mindy Gretchen makes an entrance…finally!

Mindy Gretchen is the black-and-white Indy-look-alike who lives down the road. She eats at the pavilion and according to Francis, she’s already been spayed. Now, Mindy has oftentimes tried to enter our porch and she’d somehow be stopped or she’s just not brave enough to stand her ground. This afternoon, I heard the familiar sound…

Breakfast as usual this morning. And oh, Timmy is in his “private dining  quarters”. Suddenly, there was a loud sound from the back of the house. Who’s on the alert? Everyone except Ginger. Ginger relies totally on his mama to protect him. Er….our private diner is also unperturbed by the loud noise. We’re counting the…

  • “I will look after you now…”

  • Heidi’s day

Ever since Willy took over the basketball court, Heidi has not been allowed to even step into the playground. So she spends her day in the porch, which is, in fact, much safer for her, especially when she has this tendency of sitting in the middle of the road. We know she is an old…

  • Willy’s stories

I think Willy lives inside the drain right outside our house. He is here for meals twice a day. Sometimes, for breakfast, he is not hungry as he might have eaten at the pavilion. I’ve checked with Mukda and she says Willy does eat at the pavilion every morning. Whenever I feed Willy, I would…

  • The art of balancing Timmy

Timmy is like a bag of fluid. Yes, that would be an accurate description of the physical attributes of Timmy. He flops all over… Me not comfortable…  He still finishes his food (whether first or second helping) in 15 seconds flat and asks to be let out of the cage! Has Timmy lost any weight…
