The cartoon that broke Morrisey’s heart

This is from PETA:

I don’t normally want to watch these videos because I know it will break my heart, but I have to watch something before I post it, so I did. At 30 seconds, your eyes will start to get wet. After 1.5 minutes, you will start to cry. But at the end of the story, the little chick escapes…so it does have a “happy ending” of sorts. But the chick’s mom did not survive.

So, yes, it WILL break your heart as it did mine.

Chickens have feelings too: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1364383/Scientists-say-chickens-empathy-feel-pain.html

What we can do:

1. Start eating less meat today. Make a pledge to do it.
2. Save chickens from the slaughterhouse. Do a project like this: http://animalcare.my/2014/04/03/meet-little-miss-sunshine/

If you’ve always wanted to start eating less meat, or become a full-fledged vegetarian someday, watch this video and…

…make someday today.
