Subject: Vaccination For 4 Kittens
To: Chan Kah Yein <chankahyein@gmail.com>Dear Dr. Chan,
I’m writing to request for your vaccination subsidy. The kitten that I rescued named Boy was due for his 2nd vaccination. The first vaccination was subsidized by AnimalCare. I found an adopter for him and he went with his adopter yesterday. His adopter is a student at the local uni here. He happened to see 3 stray kittens around his dorm and he was hoping that I would be able to take care of them. Being a student, he has no money to take care of so many. One of the kittens needs medical attention (the white one). He brought all of them to my house. Unfortunately, I am fostering so many now (5 kittens plus 2 more potential as my friend is leaving this Friday and we are still unable to find a home for the 2 cats that she’s fostering) on top of my 10 at home. The only thing I can do is vaccinate them and get the vet to treat the white one. The vet gave some eye medication, fungal cream, shampoo and vaccinated and dewormed the white kitten. I told the adopter to take back the kittens to his campus and keep and eye on them. I will help him with food. He promised to wash the white one this weekend, give the eye drop and put the cream twice a day.The other two are almost identical brothers. The vet vaccinated and dewormed them.I would like to apply for the vaccination subsidy for all of them. I find that it is harder now to rehome rescues. I am doing the best that I can do with the current situation that I’m in. I will follow up from time to time with the adopter on how these kittens are doing. I told him that I will try to get AnimalCare to subsidize their neutering when they are age appropriate.I hope I get a favorable reply from you. Thanks.Ely
