Dear Dr. Chan,

My name is Madame VOON Alice, and I would like to seek for your kind assistance to apply for vaccination subsidy for a stray dog that I am caring for.

She appeared in front of my house somewhere around the first week of August and she has been waiting and sleeping in front of my house day & night. She looked completely lost and was extremely thin then, and so I started to leave some food and water for her. I named her Cotton Becky, which she responds quite well each time I call her. As weeks passes, thinking that she probably be gaining a little weight, we discovered that she was actually pregnant. It was not possible at all for me not to do anything, and so, I have begged my neighbour who lives opposite my house, to give her a temporary shelter so that she has a place to give birth to her puppies. I could not shelter her as I have my own pet dog at home, who is extremely possessive and doesn’t want to eat whenever I feed Cotton. I have to manage somehow. Everyday, I will feed Cotton outside my house twice a day.

On the 18 September, she successfully gave birth to 6 puppies at her temporary shelter at my neighbour’s compound. Since then, I have been taking care of the needs of Cotton and her 6 puppies. Two of her puppies have already been adopted separately by 2 wonderful families  recently. The other 4 puppies are still waiting to be adopted.

Since the puppies are already 2 months old, and Cotton is less attached with her pups, I find that it is the right time to fix her up by starting her on her vaccination and she will be going in for her 2nd booster early week of December, in 2 weeks from today as she had her first vaccination today. As I am aware, these vaccinations are needed to prepare her for neutering in January 2015, to avoid her getting pregnant again, as she is welcome to shelter at my neighbour’s compound as part of the adoption plan while I take care of her needs such as food, drinks etc.

Attached herewith are some photos of Cotton and the 1st vaccine sticker on card. Please advise me further as this is my first time caring a stray dog and requesting a subsidy. I have read your instruction on the website and I have filled up the Vaccination form attached with the original receipt from the vet and should reach you within 1 week.

I am grateful of what you are doing and should you need further information from me, do let me you. Your advise is most welcome as well. Thank you so very much for your compassionate assistance.

Kind regards,
Madam Alice VOON Kian Ching
