We have sponsored RM100 for the spaying of Feline 1.
It was Beh Yen Phin who told Albert all about our aid and now, Albert is getting his neighbourhood cats neutered and returned to colony. Yen Phin is helping Albert do the emailing and also taking the cats to the vet for the procedures. We thank both Yen Phin and Albert for helping the neighbourhood cats!
Do read this incredible case – the cat had a ruptured uterus! Luckily she was captured and sent for spaying. This probably saved her life, literally!

Subject: RE: spaying female cat Bandar Utama
To: MyAnimalCare-Chan Kah Yein <chankahyein@gmail.com>Hi Dr Chan,Good morning!Here’s the write-up:
“Feline 1 is one of many stray cats concentrated on several streets in Bandar Utama. She sneaked into one of the houses and gave birth there at the porch. My friend and neighbour who has a soft spot for animals, didn’t have the heart to throw her and the kittens out, especially since she seemed to be weak and sickly. After two months of nursing her kittens, she was captured and taken for neutering with My Animal Care’s help. Thankfully this was done, as when the vet operated on her, it was discovered that she had a ruptured uterus (probably from giving birth). While it had healed on its own (which is something uncommon, as usually the strays would die from this), if she did ever get pregnant again, would most likely die. She has been sent back to my neighbour’s, and on seeing that she looks pretty good a day after the surgery, she was released, though she hangs around at my neighbour’s house and vicinity where several houses feeds the stray. She is expected to live out the rest of her life as a neighbourhood cat. In time, we hope to neuter her kittens too.”And I’ll still swing by tomorrow and drop the receipt.Thank you!
