Dear Dr. Chan,
I have sent 3 cats (2 male, 1 female) for neutering at SPCA on 19 May and I again seek your help to apply for full subsidy of the cost, RM290.
Whitney was picked up across the main road from where I stay. She was calling out so loudly, I could hear her from inside my car as I was driving by. When I held her, she clutched my shirt so tightly, and I took it as a sign she wanted to be adopted badly.
Murni was rescued crossing a big road at Selayang near Taman Murni. After he escaped being hit by an oncoming car, he just sat at the grass verge, seemingly waiting for me to take him in. Both Whitney and Murni have grown to be really affectionate cats.
Kuang is a walk in cat. Very independent and is always at the gate for his two meals a day.
Unrelated to the neutering, I would just like to update you on my dogs. I had 10 dogs in my house until Morning died of congestive heart in February and Bo of kidney failure.early May. SPCA called me up about two stray dogs (around 6 months old, one with skin disease and the other with a broken leg) it had picked up from the Ampang wet market and asked if I would adopt them. I have been feeling frail recently due to some arthritic problem, yet I could not imagine the dogs being sent back to the market to fend for themselves. So I agreed to adopt them. Now I have 10 dogs again under my care.
I really appreciate all the love and support I get from humane organizations like Animal Care and SPCA and I will do my best to help the poor creatures.
The application form, pictures and copy of receipt is attached. I will send the original by PosLaju tomorrow.
Thanks much!
Sincerely,
John Cheah
