  • Vincent’s decision

Vincent passed away very peacefully early this morning. This morning was the only morning, for quite some time now, that I come downstairs without fear of what I might find, but with hope. Hope of a successful surgery today, so that Vincent may be free from the toothache. I had positive thoughts last night, that…

  • Decision for Vincent (we need your kind thoughts, please)

I spoke with the vet about the tooth extraction. To cut a long story short, we are going for it tomorrow. Initially the vet didn’t think it should be done because the reality is that Vincent doesn’t have much time left.  But to me, it doesn’t matter how much time he has left, I don’t…

  • Vincent tries to eat

I went out to see what other food I could get for Vincent and came home with chicken and steamed fish (a different type this time, not bawal as he would surely not want bawal anymore, I know). I didn’t expect Vincent to come to the kitchen as he seems very weak now, but he…

  • Still sitting like a lion

This was yesterday evening’s photo. Still very dignified. Last night, he was sleeping soundly in the cage when I went upstairs. It’s good that he can sleep restfully. I got up this morning, came downstairs and Vincent staggered out from his cage to greet me. I am amazed at his resilience and his spirit. The…

  • Please keep all your animals indoors

We all know the earth belongs to all living beings, but some humans disagree.  And these humans enact laws that prohibit animals from living peacefully in the environment. Sadly, animal lovers are grossly outnumbered in this country. Therefore, please keep your animals indoors, as many as you can. We have received many reports that it…

It rained heavily last night and Vincent stayed in his cage at the patio. Before I slept, he was in the bathroom, but I found him in the cage this morning, wet, due to the sudden heavy downpour last night. He wanted to eat, so, I tried. But failed. He did, however, lick a bit…
