Thank you very much (April 2020 donors)
What a month it has been, with the MCO and the Covid19 pandemic hitting our country. This month, we did not have many neutering claims, so the bulk of our assistance has been in the form of petfood donations to the four shelters and many individual feeders. This month’s neutering aid: Number of animals: 12 (3…

Neutering aid for 1 cat in Kajang (Nurul Huda bt Mohd Fadzil’s) & Updates
We have provided an aid of RM100 for the neutering of this cat. Updates on previous cats below. This female cat has been lingered behind my house around 1 month. I don’t know where did she came from. I feed her all this while. I spayed her to avoid her getting pregnant. I’m planning to release…

Feeding Pole
I’m still adjusting and trying to read what Pole wants to eat. This morning, she ate Coco&Joe’s, but she vomited it out after that. I don’t know what caused this, but since she has been able to tolerate Primal, I decided to just give her more of Primal first. And I found that it works…

Indy checks out his competition
Indy must have heard through the grapevine about Minnie’s daring and unprecedented attempted escape the other day, so he sneaked out from between my legs (without me knowing – yes, he is THAT good) to check out the competition. But before I go to that, let me tell you how good Indy is at sneaking…

Letting Minnie and Smurfy stretch their legs
I felt sorry that Minnie and Smurfy had been confined in the cage, so I planned a “stretching event” for them this morning. I would use Jia-Wen’s room for them. Last night, I had already surveyed the room. It should be Minnie-proof except for the mosquito netting which Minnie could slide open to one side,…

Minnie’s check-up (liver readings improved, but is pregnant)
Today was Minnie’s check-up. I decided to take Smurfy along as company for Minnie. The two are so close it would worry one if the other was not around. Minnie’s liver readings improved a lot. Her ALT was previously 394, then it went down to 329 after 3 days. And today, after a total of…

Tabs, the nursemaid for Minnie and Smurfy
Tabs has taken it upon herself to accompany Minnie and Smurfy. Tabs is also eyeing at the kibble that Minnie and Smurfy get. I only bought a small packet when I first started feeding Minnie as I wanted to gradually ease her into raw. But as it turned out, Minnie took to raw instantaneously! Anyway,…

Pole eats (!!) Coco&Joe’s again!
The miracle happened this morning! Pole was her sprightly happy self and leapt around like a Kancil (mousedeer). Without the need to transition again, I gave her a scoop of Coco&Joe’s and she started eating it! But after a few minutes, she suddenly remembered she was given Cindy’s mousse for the past few days so…

Tabs and Ginger’s cough
Fingers crossed. I think Tabs and Ginger’s cough has healed. Ginger’s took 2 months. Tabs’ was about less than 2 weeks. The nebulization helped a lot. Today’s last nebulization for both: Tabs took it all nicely. Ginger, who used to LOVE sniffing in the Ventolin, put up a fight today. Looks like he knows he…

Pole, Minnie and Smurfy’s updates
I definitely saw Pole urinating with my own eyes, at least twice today, so all is well. Covering up her urine. To my complete relief, Pole was willing to eat the Cystaid Plus sprinkles on her food. I didn’t expect this, so it is a real bonus. I hope she continues to eat it. That…

Our first papayas!
I’m a total idiot when it comes to planting things. Anything. The only successful planting I’ve done would be taugeh in primary school and once, corn (jagung) for a secondary school science project. All else have failed quite miserably and sadly…until…. We threw papayas seeds out the little trees grew. One matured. The first one…

Minnie and Smurfy are fine
Minnie and Smurfy are both very well-behaved. I carry Minnie out every day to acclimatise her to the surroundings. She doesn’t struggle anymore. Feeding her the large Legalon capsule (for her liver) and the Doxy tablet, is a breeze. Imagine that….a “stray” and I can feed her medicine. Pole and Cleo have been with me…

Pole is not out of the woods yet (vomiting again)
The vet said I could stop the daily Mirtazapine if Pole starts eating again. Mirtazapine acts as both an anti-vomiting medicine and an appetite stimulant. She says I could give Pole once in 3 days. Not daily. This morning, I began giving Pole Coco&Joe’s mixed with Cindy’s mousse. No Mirtazapine today. I was so happy…
