A message from Ms Ng: Thank you, thank you very much for the dogfood which I received today. My doggies also say a big thank you.

Ms Ng Choy Har is one of our CNRM-applicants. As with keeping to the law, she only has 2 dogs at home but she looks after about 20 street dogs near her workplace. Ms Ng works as a cleaner and also handmakes bags to sell for additional income to fund her rescue work. During this present economic downturn, her bags cannot sell (please see below for picture of her handmade purses). I have suggested to Ms Ng to make blankets or shopping bags. Maybe these can sell better.

Here’s her email (typed by her daughter as Ms Ng does not write English or BM) and additional comments are from my conversations with her.

From the photos, we have also suggested to Ms Ng to please use newspapers or plastic sheets to feed the dogs so as to keep the food and ground clean. To this, Ms Ng explained that she normally uses plastic sheets and bags but when she was taking these photos that day, she was in a hurry and the dogs were waiting, so she poured the kibble on the ground.

Dear Dr Chan,

Please find attached photos of the stray that I am feeding, around 20 of them. They are near my workplace where I work as a cleaner. I cook rice with chicken and mix it with kibble for the dogs.
I am making handmade bags and due to MCO, the order has reduced. Therefore I would appreciate it if Animal Care can support some food aid during this challenging time.
If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me
Thank you
Ng Choy Har
