A message from Mr Lim: Just received 16 bags of Vital Plus premium dog food. Thank you so much.

Mr Lim is one of our elderly CNRM-applicants. He is a retiree without pension and is also a cancer patient who is still undergoing chemotherapy for his stage 3 cancer. We offered our food aid to him. Here’s an email from him.

My name is Lim Seong Ann and I am a 64 years old retiree. I don’t have a monthly pension because I was self employed. I depend on my daughter who gives me a monthly allowance of Rm 750.00 of which Rm200.00 goes to paying a monthly rental for a 2 room flat which I am staying in now.

Presently, I am taking care of 21 dogs and most of them live in a rundown store which I now use as a kennel. Half of the building’s roof is rotten away but another was repaired by a good samaritan.

Most of the allowance from my daughter is used to buy dog food. I feed the dogs twice a day, kibbles only in the morning and a mixture of chicken, rice and kibbles in the late afternoon.

I do not have an income. A friend would donate a bag of kibbles to me monthly.

I truly hope I qualify for the dog food donation that you mentioned earlier. It will really help to alleviate the situation I am facing now.

Thank you,

Sincerely,

Lim Seong Ann
