Survivor Shelter is currently home to 47 dogs. Below are some photos and videos taken when Ms Ong visited her dogs recently. Ms Ong works as a hawker to earn enough to sustain her shelter. The daily maintenance at the shelter is done by a capable worker. Sick dogs are sent for treatment at the vet’s by pet taxi.

The dog, Ah Yak, who had the nerve problem last month, sadly, could not be saved despite being given treatment and medication. According to Ms Ong, the vet said it was a nerve problem that would spread all over the body and it had already resulted in Ah Yak biting off his own flesh. May Ah Yak rest in peace.

Yesterday, Ms Ong’s work was featured in the Malaymail. We applaud her for making efforts to raise funds on her own, especially through her burger stall.
