The petfood:
Vitalplus dog kibble 18kg (lamb) – 10 bags (as per requested)
The 10 bags were just delivered a moment ago. That’s Ah Win, the trusty worker at the shelter.
Ms Ong requested for only 10 bags of dog kibble this month. For everyone’s information, she is no longer working two jobs now as her day job did not work out. So she is just selling burgers at Rock Cafe in PJS11/20. She will be there every evening until past midnight unless she takes the day off to attend to her dogs.
Survivor Shelter is currently home to 46 dogs. There is one rescued kitten, Fate, and she lives with Ms Ong in her apartment.
The shelter was put under our Sponsored Shelters since February this year. Four of their animals were given our Medical Aid: Cash, Milky, WinWin and Fate. Cash and Milky succumbed to their illnesses, but not before they were given treatment at the clinics of Ms Ong’s choice. WinWin is still undergoing regular treatment for IMHA and she also has tick fever. Fate has already been given a clean bill of health by the vet and has been vaccinated.
The month of May was a very difficult month for Ms Ong when Cash and Milky were hospitalised in critical condition, WinWin still needed regular check-ups and Fate had just been rescued with mange and flu. We fully sponsored the medical treatment of Cash and Milky and partially for WinWin and Fate because Ms Ong’s decided to pay for the bills of WinWin and Fate herself towards the end of the month.
As for food, we gave a first consignment of cat food for Fate in May. Ms Ong says she will take care of Fate’s food supply from now on. Fate also has a clean bill of health now and is a very happy kitten, growing up very well.
For this month, Ms Ong says she only needs 10 bags of dog food for her shelter dogs, so that is what we have given the dogs.
For Survivor Shelter, we gave an MCO-relief food aid in May 2020 and since July 2022, we have been giving food aid regularly every month.
This article was published about Ms Ong and her shelter yesterday: https://says.com/my/makan/burger-stall-bandar-sunway-so-she-can-look-after-47-stray-dogs (She had a sellout last night, a total of 55 burgers!)
Ms Ong also informed us a few days ago that she will be able to take care of the food for her shelter from July onwards so our food aid is no longer required. Fate is also well and healthy now, only requiring to complete her vaccinations. WinWin still needs to be treated for her IMHA but Ms Ong assured us she can take care of the bills from now on.
We fully appreciate Ms Ong’s efforts in taking responsibility of her shelter and the animals. We have assured her that should she need help, we will do our best to help her again.
We wish Ms Ong and all her animals the very best of health and may they have the best chances in life. And of course, good business at her burger stall too!
Here are some photos of her 46 dogs and Fate, the kitten.
