Here’s some news we got from an attendee of today’s meeting:

  1. This is a joint project between MyPJ and MBPJ.
  2. It is for dogs and cats. So yes, cats are included. Thank you very much, PAWS, for asking for cats too.
  3. It is not 100% no killing, but no unnecessary killing. We appreciate the honesty here so that we are aware of what is being offered.
  4. PAWS might be the TNRM centre for this project.

As we have repeatedly written and shared, it took The Netherlands 200 years to achieve “stray dog free” status WITH full governmental support and with the citizens’ support. But cats are still free roaming in their country, neutered and vaccinated by the government and the people under their CNVR (Catch-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) programme.

It might take us 200, 300, 400 or more years (or less?), but we have to start it somewhere.

Let us start it now!

It is not possible to achieve “stray free” in a country as open as ours. That is why there will always be a need for neutering. Let it be a way of life for animal lovers – see a street animal, make friends, get them neutered, and care for them after that. That’s living harmoniously with them, with respect and love. That is our concept of One-Street CNRM, keeping it small and manageable.
