For this month, Imm’s Shelter has requested food aid as their expenses have been very high due to a number of dogs who have fallen ill and required medical treatment.

Imm’s Shelter is currently home to 26 dogs and 15 cats. It is run by Imm and Judy, with the kind help of friends and volunteers.

Jacky is the 4th dog from shelter in my home with renal failure. Kalu passed away after 5 months staying with me. Tooee and Zena passed away few days from each other last week. All with renal failure after recovery from tick fever. Jacky likely to depart for Rainbow Bridge this month, getting thinner, no appetite, sticky gluey poo ….am so familiar with the symptoms with so many dying the same way.
There was an outbreak following the stressful months when the shelter was being rebuilt. All doggies given Bravecto when the first dog came down with tick fever. Many recovered but hv relapsed. As the dogs are being bathed regularly, we are able to detect ticks if any. Hv been good for more than a year now but Kalu, Tooee, Zena n Jacky relapsed.
