This week, so far, we’ve heard news of dog catching somewhere nearby, and today, cat poisoning also somewhere nearby.
Animal-haters complaining to the councils, councils acting upon the complaints, animal-haters getting rid of street animals in their cruel and wicked ways, etc. – This is nothing new. It has been ongoing for as long as I can remember and it will go on until there is more education and realisation that we humans are NOT the superior species on the planet, we have no right to control, much less, destroy other living beings.
We only think we are because we are so terribly deluded.
We also wrote about people in the guise of “rescuers” who “rescue” healthy animals off the streets only to have them euthanised and vets, though few and thankfully so, who provide such services. There are also organisations that think catch-and-kill is the way to control the street animal population without realising that this method has been used for decades and yet, the population is still not under control.
In the first place, what gives such humans the right to kill street animals?
There are only two ways to stop this wickedness from perpetuating and we do both.
1. Education on kindness – the best is by example.
2. Neutering – we offer aid: www.animalcare.my/aid/
When more people behave kindly towards street animals and raise objections to the wickedness, hopefully, the message that cruelty to animals is not tolerated nor acceptable will filter through.
Meanwhile, practise One-Street CNRM and get as many animals neutered as you can within your means to continue caring for them. Every animal neutered is hundreds prevented from being born on the street.
This is a cruel world and that is a fact no matter how others wish to depict it. But we can create our own safe microcosm of kindness where street animals are treated with care, respect and love, within our own small little space.
Keep your precious space small, manageable and sustainable.

Only return to colony if the place is safe.

If not, find other ways to keep them safe.
