The serial killers of street animals

It is very, very upsetting to know that the serial killers that we mentioned some time ago are still doing their wicked, senseless acts.

These are those “rescuers” who pick up young animals from the street only to have them killed at the vet’s.

These people are either suffering from severe compassion fatigue or they are just plain wicked.

Their reason is this: If you leave them on the street, they will lead a hard life, so might as well get them killed and spare them the suffering.

Call it euthanasia, “put down”, “put to sleep”, even the short form “pts” or “let go” or whatever they think makes it sound better and less severe, killing is killing. There’s no other way to water it down. These are killers of young, innocent, healthy street animals.

They are murderers.

One organisation even calls it “humane pts”. The word “humane” and “pts” should never be put together. What is so humane about killing young, innocent animals who have just been born barely a few months and have their entire natural lives to live out?

Their justification is completely senseless and ludicrous.

Animals have a survival instinct. They want to live. That is the bottom line – THEY WANT TO LIVE.

They do not want to die.

They are not like humans who sometimes may want to die because they do not want to suffer physical or mental pain. Humans are different. When they know of their impending suffering or they are already suffering, they MAY want to die and opt for self-inflicted suicide or assisted suicide in countries that permit it. That is opting for it on their own free will. They WANT to have their lives ended.

But animals do not have this mentality. Have you ever seen an animal committing suicide?

So, please beware of these rescuers or groups that tell you they are taking your street puppy or kitten to be rehabilitated so that they stand a better chance at being adopted. Only allow it IF you trust that person and if that person has a good track record of being honest.

We just heard that there is such a well-known “rescuer” doing this now, telling gullible street feeders that she will rehabilitate young puppies, but what she does is to take them to be euthanised (yes, killed in cold blood) at the vet’s.

And why do a small minority of vets do it? Because our law permits it, that’s why.

But what is lawful does not make it right, folks. What is lawful does not make it morally right.

Search within your conscience and ask yourself: Is it right to kill innocent young street animals? Can you look into their eyes as the vet injects the lethal dose that will end their lives?

What kind of human being has the heart and mind to do such a despicable act?

It is murder in cold blood.

It is worse than the council animal-catchers. Those people only act upon complaints, again, because our flawed law allows it. But these serial killers are acting in the guise of being “rescuers”, catching young street animals, boasting about their “good” intentions on the rescue on social media, and then getting these poor unfortunate animals killed behind closed doors. If they think they are doing right, why don’t they announce the killing on their social media? Why boast about their “rescue” and not talk about the killing? Why keep the second part a secret?

We have also heard of rescuers and groups that “rescue” street animals where they collect tons of donations supposedly used to neuter, vaccinate and even medically treat these animals, but is there any follow-up after that? If you are a donor, please insist on the follow-up. Are there receipts? Are there photographs? Are the receipts genuine? Are the photographs those of the same animal? Is there a reliable time stamp on the photographs?

These are rescuers and shelters that will publicise their heroic rescues, donations will pour in, but where is the follow-up? Do not trust words. Ask for proof. Visit the animal yourself. Follow up, please.

We owe it to the animals to do what’s right.

Do not support or be swindled by unscrupulous people who are merely using animals to make money for themselves or doing wicked acts under the guise of “rescue”.

Do not support “rescuers” whose aim is just to kill the animals out of convenience for themselves. Or are so deluded that they think it’s their job to clear the street of cats and dogs.

Do not support veterinarians who do the dirty job for them. We know you have the law on your side. But search deep within your conscience, please. If vets do not provide such services, this sort of malicious, intentional and senseless killing of young innocent animals will stop.

To the serial killers of innocent and healthy animals – Karma will catch up with you. You won’t know how it works, but it will. Please stop your heinous acts.

The day that human beings think they are the superior being, the day that humans beings think they must and can control Nature is the day human delusion and their downfall began.
