Einstein derived a lot of company from his cat, Tiger. Isaac Newton was also very fond of his cat, Spithead.
“If a man aspires towards a righteous life, his first act of abstinence is from injury to animals.” – Albert Einstein
There can be little doubt that Einstein enjoyed Tiger’s company, especially when he had difficulties, as we all sometimes do, in his work and his life. “There are two means of refuge from the misery of life: music and cats,” said Einstein.
Who knows where the world of science would be if it hadn’t been for Einstein’s beloved housecat, Tiger? The physicist would spend hours watching his feline friend as he meditated his most seminal theories, which shape physics and astronomy to this day.
