The Feeding Goes On, Rain or Shine

Hi all! It’s JoTong again.

Yesterday was my day to feed the doggos (I take turns with Uncle Wong) and it started to rain at 5.30pm, just I was about the reach the factory area. The rain was so heavy that I had to sit in my car while waiting for the rain to stop.

My hubby texted and asked me to go back as he thought the rain won’t stop and it’s ok for the dog not to eat for one day. My reply?Nah, it’s ok. I have reached here and I can wait or I can feed those in factory first”.

For me, whether it’s rain or shine, I will not miss my feeding (except for a few times when the rain was super heavy). But I make sure I feed them the earliest in the morning the next day.

I have the feelings that the dogs would be very happy to see us and it’s not just about food. So, each time when it rains, I will take the opportunity to bond with them. I think they were all very happy (can be seen from the wagging tails) but I know I’m very happy myself 😅. And I love this “bonus” time where I can play with them as when I’m feeding like any other days, my two hands are full…. Sometimes they just love me patting and stroking them and calling out for them….it’s not just the food I’m feeding, it’s the bonding too.

Stray dogs want to be loved too. I think it’s ok if there are people do not love dogs, but please don’t hurt them 😞. Please, please do not speed when you see stray dogs crossing the road 🙏🏻. Slow down your car, let them cross the road safely.

This earth belongs to them too. Where they are born is where they belong.

My precious doggos!
