As you may have noticed, our blog has been experiencing downtime very, very often in the previous month or so. This is most likely due to the new wordpress system and also some reconfiguration problem which have not been addressed.
We are very, very grateful to our friends, Huey and Wah, who have been giving us technical support for many years now. In the past years, they have been donating the service, so we did not have to pay for the domain and the hosting.
In our early years, I was paying for it myself.
All donations are channeled to the animals and all operational costs has been borne by me, with the occasional sponsorship from friends in our earlier years.
But Huey and Wah actually no longer run a technical support or hosting service anymore. They run an eatery now and have been doing so for many years. They only maintain their technical support for family and us. For this, we are eternally grateful.
But it is time to move on now and not tax on Wah, especially, since he has to run their eatery business and we cannot expect him to attend to our downtimes immediately.
So, Wah has helped us look for a paid service provider and I have already made the first payment for the hosting and domain under this new provider. I will be paying for it personally, like before.
I am not sure when the migration will be done, but hopefully it will be soon, maybe even today!
During the migration, we will be experiencing a downtime again. So please do be patient with us and please come back soon when we are up and running!
