This evening, we were treated to a truly amazing and spectacular performance by the Pastorale performers and orchestra in their 2023 Charity Concert!

To everyone who attended, thank you so much for your generous donation and thank you so much for supporting our incredible local talents!!

To Ms Yim Soi Chee and the entire Pastorale team, thank you so much for your tremendous efforts in presenting this absolutely breath-taking performance par excellence!

Here are some photos and videos!

The Junior String Ensemble

The Body Percussion

Timmy Lim Ji Yuen, a cellist, composed this Scherzo for Six Cellos. It is an original composition.

Tico Tico No Fuba, a very catchy and popular tune!

11-year old Rohan Kai-Jin Sreesanthan playing Bach’s Concerto no. 5 in F minor.

An amazing and charismatic pianist, Chew Zhi Hong playing Cziffra’s Paraphrase on Themes by Johann Strauss. My first time hearing the great waltz king’s pieces being so creatively “paraphrased”!!

Ms Yim taking the stage for the second half with Karl Jenkins’ Palladio for String Orchestra. I love this piece! It just keeps you wanting more!

Philip Jeremy Law playing Saint-Saens’ Intro and Rondo Capriccioso in A Minor.

This piece is composed by another student, Jeremy Leow Yuan-sheng. It is called Four Elements Piano Concerto, 1st Movement “Wind” and the pianist is Chen Li Shan.

A spectacular masterpiece and finale performed by Tan Jing Ern, Addinsell’s Warsaw Concerto. A fitting and accomplished finish to an immensely entertaining concert which showcased our remarkable young talents! Jing Ern has also performed at Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall and won many international awards.

Kudos to Pastorale Music School for producing such fine, talented and gifted musicians! They not only play several instruments, they also compose!

The brains and hard work behind it all, Ms Yim Soi Chee (with clasped hands).
