Good morning, Panna (Szetoo Yu Ming visits)!

Here’s the updates we have been waiting eagerly for!

Szetoo and his wife visited Panna this morning and sent these photos!

According to Szetoo, Panna looks happy and alert, but a bit tired. It is probably due to the long hours of surgery last night. Anyone would!

According to the vet, Panna will stay on for observation for 3 more days (inclusive of today). He has a cold pack at the wounds to reduce inflammation now, but it will be changed to a hot pack later to encourage blood blood and recovery.

All the gangrenous flesh has been removed. There is no leg stumps left behind.

Here’s what Szetoo says:

Panna likes it when I stroke his head and neck area. After all the excitement and trauma, it’s now time for recovery. And he’s not smelly anymore. And most importantly, he’s not going to die prematurely.

And it is all thanks to your kind donations that made it possible for Panna to have the surgery, so thank you very much!

Szetoo and his wife also decided on this:

We don’t think it will cost very much for the wheelchair and follow up. As we have agreed that we will pay RM2k for the cost of surgery, hence the donors contribute towards the balance. The extras will be used to buy/build a wheelchair and follow ups. Any balance, we would like to to donate back to AnimalCare, to be used as you see fit.

Thank you very much for your kindness to pay it forward to other animals who need help through us. So, to all donors who had contributed for Panna, if there is any balance after the wheelchair and follow-up treatment, Szetoo will donate back the balance to our Funds to help other animals.
