This is Adzhar Ibrahim’s story about his rescued cat, Small Girl (or Smaww Gurr). He is my No. 1 favourite FMT columnist.
It’s sad that he had to have Small Girl euthanised (end-stage kidney failure), but it’s not our place to judge. He did it out of his compassion and at least he and his wife were there with her all the way. He said tears filled the room. I teared up reading that part too. How painful it must have been for him and his wife.
