A timely reminder to everyone (unfortunately, those who need the reminder will not be reading this blog, so please…share this out widely to those who need it, especially your neighbourhood chat groups).
KUALA LUMPUR: Bermain bunga api selepas jam 12 tengah malam sehingga mengganggu ketenteraman atau membahayakan orang lain adalah kesalahan yang boleh dikenakan tindakan mengikut Seksyen 13, Akta Kesalahan Kecil 1955 [Akta 336], demikian amaran Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM).
That said, I have since made two police reports about such incidence. For the first, the a policeman did come, but it was too late as the perpetrators had already left. For the second, no police officer came at all.
So much for making reports.
The second one was particularly infuriating because it was a grown man playing with the loudest, earth-shattering firecrackers with two very young children. “Imbecile” and “idiot” would be too mild.
But please, keep making police reports when you encounter such. Mana tau, you might “strike lottery” once in a while.
