Farewell, Senior White (2010 Selayang Pound rescue)

It was in February 2010 that we went to the Selayang Pound to bring food to the dogs and saw 23 puppies there. I will not repeat what we saw, but MDDB’s Wani asked me to take out the puppies. As a Neutering Fund, we didn’t have any provision for rescue unless someone else was willing to provide the space, so since MDDB offered, of course we took out the puppies even though we were unprepared for the “rescue” mission.

We took the puppies straight to the vet’s and PAWS offered temporary space.

A long story cut short, some of the puppies did not make it despite medical treatment, but some did. It was months of treatment, looking for fosterers, adopters, the works.

Senior White remained in the care of MDDB and yesterday, Wani informed me that Senior White passed away. That would be after 14 years of loving care.

From stardust to stardust, until the next Big Bang, you’ve had a good life, Senior White.

Thank you very much, MDDB, for looking after Senior White.
