Let’s be inspired by this lovely story!
On 24/3/2025 about 11am, as I was going out for my morning errands, I noticed a small little black thing further up along my street. Upon close up I realised it was a little puppy, barely 2-3 months old in the middle of the street! My heart sank when I saw him. He was tiny and he didn’t know how to avoid cars and I remembered the day before there was a big storm. How did he survive?
My heart was heavy as I carried on with my day, and I couldn’t just leave the puppy now that I saw it. I tried to rescue him first by bringing bread and milk to him. He was so happy to see me. Followed me and wagged his tail. Ate the food so fast I don’t know when his last meal was.
I called up a friend who has some contact with a shelter. But they wanted RM300/month for as long as the puppy is there. They can’t even guarantee the welfare of the puppy as there are so many dogs there.
It started raining in the afternoon. I was in the middle of class at home. But I went out and took the puppy back. I wanted to give him temporary shelter and to give him a good wash.
As I brought him into my gate, my immediate neighbour Mrs P saw me with the puppy and she said she also saw him for a few days already! She immediately took over the puppy and gave him a wash.
Mrs P already has 2 dogs: a Labrador at the porch and an indoor dog. But she was willing to take this puppy on! I was so grateful and thankful for her I could cry! What a wonderful person!
The next day we took the puppy to a vet to have him examined. And he has a name, Pepsi! Because her other dog is named Cola! Now she has Pepsi Cola!
Pepsi now has a new loving forever home. They absolutely love him! Giving him indefinite love and care. Pepsi is so lucky! From being abandoned to having a home! 🏠 I’m sure he’ll grow up to be a healthy and handsome adult.
I am so happy for him. The day I rescued him was my birthday. Rescuing him was my best birthday gift ever!

And now, after about three weeks, take a look at little Pepsi!
You are indeed a very, very lucky puppy, Pepsi!
Saving one little life at a time – if this is all we can do, it already makes a world of difference to that one little life, and to us too, because nobody can take away that wonderful feeling we get when we do something good without expecting anything in return!
