Mortzy & Family were adopted by Joy Elia Saga on 23rd February 2025. They also have a kind sponsor, Mr Koo, who had given RM800 for their needs. So far, their initial food supplies, deworming, vaccinations and Mortzy’s neutering have been covered from this RM800 donation. There is still a balance of RM97.25 from this. We have been giving Mr Koo regular updates too.

Photos of Mortzy, Snowflake and Simba taken this morning:

All three have been regularly dewormed and have received their first vaccination. Mortzy (the mother) has been spayed too. Snowflake and Simba are both males and will be neutered when they are of age.

Mortzy & Family comes under our Subsidised Adoption Plan. It is only for adopted street animals. Theirs is the first family under this plan as we are trying out if such assistance might encourage more adoption from the street.

AnimalCare’s Subsidised Adoption Plan:

1. This plan is only offered if the adopter declares that they are not receiving any other aid for this adoption and will be using their own money to look after the animal(s).

2. We sponsor the following for up to two years:
Vaccinations (in full, provided administered according to schedule),
Neutering (up to RM250 (cats) or RM300 (dogs), provided not pregnant and ear-notching is compulsory),
Medical (case by case, vet’s report required),
Food (About RM50 per animal per month – please see (5) below).

3. To qualify for the above, the adopter must provide latest photos and health updates of each animal by the 25th of every month.

4. Vaccination/Neutering/Medical aid will be reimbursed after receiving itemised receipts/invoices issued to the adopter’s full name.

5. Food aid will be delivered to the adopter’s residence provided (3) is received. We require a photo of the purchased food when it is received. Other options can also be discussed.

6. The adopter will allow us to visit the animal(s) during the 2-year period.

7. If the adopter rehomes the animal(s), the plan ends.

8. If AnimalCare shuts down before the 2-year period is over, the adopter will be given a lump sum of the food aid (RM50 per animal per month) for the remaining duration of the 2-year plan.
