Neutering aid for 1 cat in Kuala Lumpur (Nafisah Suhaida bt Fadillah’s)

We have provided a full sponsorship of RM50 for the neutering of this male cat, Chess.

Ms Nafisah does her CNRM work with Abdul Jalal bin Waris. This is their first application.

More about her CNRM efforts:

In 2024, I started noticing many cats dumped around these shoplots, Taman perumahan and Pasar Malam area. Sometimes found them dead and if lucky to be alive and rescued by us. My office area a bit isolated from residential areas but connected to nearby hills, so many stray dogs use this shoplots as shelter during heavy rain, hot weather, or to escape dangers from hill area from i.e: snakes and wild boars. They also under our care, we (me & husband) feed them daily 18 dogs (1 missing) and now 11 rescued cats.

Unfortunately, in this community we face some people that do not want strays around the area at all. And they (strays) no more place to go.

Nearly 2 years, I have been trying my best to slowly manage the situation:
• Monitoring the area especially with stray dogs, avoid them into conflicts.
• Feeding and caring for the strays dogs and cats
• Neutering and spaying only stray cats, we hope to start TNRM for dogs immediately
• Rescuing abandoned/injured cats, a lot of them near the pasar malam site and housing areas.

At the moment, all rescued cats are temporarily placed in a room in my office unit, which soon need to relocate them and to release back the unit to landlord (we can’t continue pay for rental). And also for few months struggle to get adopters for them. Unfortunately, I didn’t snip their ears during vet spay/neuter back then, which I unable to apply for your TNRM program.

My biggest concern now is the safety of the stray dogs as they roaming outdoors. Generally all of them harmless and mostly just sleep and rest around the shop lots/hill area.

I truly want to find a proper and humane solution for both humans and strays. However, I feel stuck because even after trying to manage them responsibly, reports and complaints may still continue simply because some people just do not want the animals there at all especially DOGS.
