Updates from Choy-Foong on Kitty-George, now named “Gandhi”:
I thought you’d like to hear thehappy update I received from DT today: Kitty – who has been renamed Gandhi 🙂 – had surgery on Saturday and had a pin inserted in his left hind leg (the better leg). They couldn’t put a pin in the other leg (right hind, the one that looked really bad) because it’s too near the joints, but they’re treating it accordingly. The vet says, with God’s grace, both legs can heal in 6 weeks and he may be able to walk again! It doesn’t sound like amputation of the right hind leg is likely. I am thrilled to bits, and DT is as well 🙂 Just 8 days ago, Gandhi-George was facing euthanasia, and now it sounds like he has a chance at a happy, normal life, in a loving home 🙂
I also received similar updates from DT about the successful surgery and how amputation may not be necessary at all. This is all such wonderful news! DT says she is calling him Gandhi-George!
