In case you have not heard, here it is: http://www.peta.org/b/thepetafiles/archive/2011/10/19/at-least-two-dozen-dead-in-ohio.aspx?utm_source=PETA&utm;_medium=E-News&utm;_campaign=Dozens%2BDead%2Bin%2BOhio
WHY must people do such things?
Leave the wild animals alone; they belong in their natural habitat. Not in zoos, not in sanctuaries, not in circuses, not in our houses. They belong to Nature.
I’m still reeling in shock and sadness over the gassing of the cat (and other shelter animals) in Utah. A friend who has vast experience in dealing with cats and dogs told me once that while dogs who have been kept as pets for a long time might lose their natural ability to survive in the wild, cats will not.
Just take a look at your own pet cat. No matter how long you’ve had your cat, you would notice it will still be cautious and will not totally and completely trust you. A cat will still protect itself at all times.
If that’s true, then instead of euthanasing cats, why don’t these shelters release the cats in their parks or forests and at least give them a chance to survive and live on? I know it’s not ideal, but isn’t that better than outright killing them?
Stop killing. Just please stop killing, humans or animals. It is not right, for whatever reason.
