Hope for Toby, the injured kitten

Emma rescued Toby and brought him to a vet who diagnosed it as a dislocated scapula and the vet said the only solution was to amputate.

Thank goodness Emma decided to seek other options by searching through the internet.

Emma wrote to me last week and I recommended Dr Susanna Brida, the vet-acupuncturist, and also Lydia who has successfully worked with animals suffering from paresis and paralysis.

Lydia has since massaged Toby twice, and she called to say she is hopeful that Toby has a good chance of improving.  Toby can walk around and was very comfortable with the massage today till he fell asleep!

Lydia has also brought Toby’s X-Rays to several vets to get their opinions and apparently, the cause may not be a dislocated scapula after all.

This just goes to show that we need to share and work together in order to give our best to our animal friends who depend on us for their wellbeing.  And, it would also do well to get a second opinion, sometimes.

Let’s continue working together and let’s all wish Toby a successful recovery soon.

Get well soon, Toby! (yes, with all four limbs intact!)
